GOVERNMENTAL PLATFORM DOPOMOGA – OVER 1 MLN HITS IN 3 MONTHS SINCE LAUNCH
During the three months since its launch, the governmental platform for aid to refugees from Ukraine Dopomoga.gov.md has exceeded 1 million hits, of which 233 thousand are single website users. Relating this to the approximately 480 thousand refugees registered at the border crossing points of our country since the beginning of the war, it means that almost every second person got informed from the governmental platform about the measures taken by the authorities, civil society, private organisations, and ordinary citizens in support of refugees.
The most accessed blocks of data on the website, which are of highest interest to users, continue to be the information on financial assistance to refugees in Ukraine provided by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which has launched a cash assistance programme for people who have left Ukraine because of the war.
At the same time, the most viewed categories of information are those about obtaining the digital personal identification number (IDNP), the announcements about free accommodation centres, locations for the distribution of humanitarian aid, announcements about jobs, food, studies, medical consultations, transportation, including registration for free flights or bus rides to different EU countries.
The top countries that have consulted the website to find out how to provide support and assistance to refugees in Moldova are Moldova, Ukraine, USA, Germany, Romania, Poland and the UK.
Dopomoga.gov.md is systematically updated with new sections and categories of information according to the developments of the situation in the region, the needs of refugees and the decisions of the Committee for Emergency Situations.
As of 1 March 2022, the page is visited by around 4 thousand users daily.
