New Update for Drivers and Transport Companies: Online Applications Now Available for Tachograph Cards
The process for requesting a tachograph card has been fully digitalized, making it faster and more convenient for both professional drivers and transport companies. Here’s how the new system works:

A tachograph card is an electronic card that records a driver’s activity, including driving time, breaks, and rest periods. It is issued in accordance with national and international regulations and is valid throughout all European Union countries. The card is essential for complying with road safety laws and monitoring professional driver activities.
- Driver Cards can be requested by professional drivers who hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).IMPORTANT:
To use this service, you must have a valid ID, driving license, and Certificate of Professional Competence. If any of your documents are issued by a foreign authority, you will need to upload scanned copies for verification.
In 2024 alone, over 6,000 tachograph cards have been issued:
- 5,846 Driver CardsIt is estimated that around 500 applications will be processed each month, significantly reducing waiting times and offering applicants a faster and more user-friendly way to access high-quality public services.

- Visit servicii.gov.md- Choose the reason for your application
- Select your preferred delivery method
- Confirm your information and proceed to payment
Fees:
The cost of issuing a tachograph card is 1,344 MDL, payable through the MPay platform.
