WEBINAR ON ELECTRONIC SERVICES FOR DIASPORA

2023-09-22 10:02

The electronic services as a channel for remote interaction between the diaspora and the Moldovan authorities was the topic of the webinar held on September 22, 2023 by the e-Governance Agency (EGA) for a group of Moldovan citizens living abroad.

Around 50 persons from diaspora applied to participate in the webinar after attending the Diaspora Congress 2023 last August, during which the e-Governance Agency invited them to participate in the planned systematic information sessions on electronic government services.

During the webinar the participants were informed by EGA experts how to receive a document from state agencies online, without visiting them, using only the e-government tools made available to all citizens by the state authorities.

At the beginning of the session, EGA director, Olga Tumuruc, greeted the participants stressing the efforts of the authorities towards the digitization of the public services and ensuring effective interaction with the diaspora through government digital platforms. "Our goal is to familiarize you with those services that have been developed to facilitate the remote interaction with public service providers and make communication between public service providers and service users easier and more friendly. I am convinced that you will hear new information that will be helpful when you interact with the Moldovan government authorities in order to receive some services, and we count on your involvement to be the messengers of digital public services, to spread the word in your communities, to become active users and ambassadors of digital services in the diaspora", she added.

The participants learned how to make MPay-enabled electronic payments (mpay.gov.md), how to use MPower (mpower.gov.md) to grant powers remotely, how to sign electronic documents with MSign (msign.gov.md), how to order delivery of documents issued in the Republic of Moldova to their home address abroad through MDelivery (mdelivery. gov.md), how to find out personal information about their relations with the state entities (offences, expired documents, owned assets, debts, credits, income, etc.) in MCabinet (mcabinet.gov.md), as well as about the new government mobile application EVO, which will bring all electronic services in a single point of access.

The participants appreciated the webinar topics, asked how to receive electronic signatures, education documents from archives and other details related to the access to the public services delivered in Moldova.

The e-Governance Agency is open to hold further sessions of this kind for people both in the country and abroad who are interested in learning and using electronic services for a secure and efficient remote interaction with Moldovan public service providers.
