WORKSHOP: PRESENTATION OF THE REGISTER OF STATE INFORMATION RESOURCES AND SYSTEMS

2023-04-26 14:35

The Register of State Information Resources and Systems was presented to representatives of public authorities and institutions during a workshop held today, April 26, 2023.

The new IT system (Registru) developed by the e-Governance Agency (EGA), is a modern, efficient, reliable mechanism of registration and tracking of state information resources and systems aimed at facilitating the re-use of the available technical solutions and their interoperability, as well as at streamlining investments in the state information systems.

In her opening address, Olga Tumuruc, the director of the e-Governance Agency, greeted the participants and mentioned that the best launch is a working process, where everyone can learn how to use the resource. “We are launching today a new information resource available for the public authorities – the Register of State Information Resources and Systems. This is a long awaited system and it has been finally developed and now operational. The objective is one of a public interest - to achieve transparency and efficiency, to see where investments have been made and to know how endowed the institutions are in this sense”, Mrs. Tumuruc added.

EGA, as the owner and holder of the Register of State Information Resources and Systems, delivered training to the first group of civil servants assigned by public authorities and institutions (legal entities) managing IT resources and systems with the role of registrars who will use and populate the Register (www.rsi.gov.md). These persons will register, update and delete the state IT resources and systems managed by these institutions and the related information in the Registru IS.

The participants in the training also learned about the Regulation of the Register of State Information Resources and Systems, including their obligations related to the management of Registru IS, such as:

• registration and updating of the Register with the information resources and systems managed by their institutions;

• ensuring the accuracy, validity and reliability of the data in the Register etc.

Today’s workshop is the first in the series of training activities to be delivered to registrars and aims at improving the government services and governance through the implementation of policies related to the modernization of government services and e-transformation of governance in the central specialized public administration.
