COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN EGA AND IPRE TO PROMOTE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AGENDA
The Public Institution “E-Governance Agency” (EGA) and the NGO “Institute for European Policies and Reforms” (IPRE) will cooperate to implement projects and activities in the field of digital transformation of the Republic of Moldova.
A Cooperation Agreement was digitally signed today, 1 September 2022 by Olga Tumuruc, director of EGA and Iulian Groza, IPRE Executive Director.
The priority areas of the Agreement are as follows:
Support the objective of digital transformation of the Republic of Moldova through promotional events, research activities in the field and information campaigns throughout and outside Moldova;
Jointly organize events in the field of digital transformation, with the participation of EGA and IPRE experts, exchange of information and good practices between the two counterparts;
Support the implementation of the objectives of Moldova 2023-2030 Digital Transformation Strategy and the “Moldova 2030” National Development Strategy in the area of digital transformation and information society.
Support Moldova’s EU integration objectives in the area of digital transformation and information society, etc.
“Increasing awareness about the activities in the field of digitalization is a constant objective and EGA works not only to create digital services and solutions, but also to inform, raise awareness and communicate actively with the public to ensure understanding of the benefits of using technology. The signing of this Agreement is just a first step, but I am confident that later we will find more areas of common interest”, said Olga Tumuruc, EGA director.
In his turn, Iulian Groza thanked EGA for its openness and for having launched the cooperation, mentioning that in the upcoming period new cooperation initiatives in the digital area will be announced, promoting e-voting, digital agenda and other activities in the context of Moldova’s European path.
Among the first activities to be organised under the partnership between EGA and IPRE are public discussions entitled “Digital Moldova”, with a focus on promoting the digital transformation agenda and the digital services among the general public in Moldova and in the diaspora, in the period September-December 2022.
