Connecting different generations to innovations

2022-07-18 12:33

The first beneficiaries of the awareness building campaign "Digital Moldova: Innovations for generations" were 150 volunteers from 24 communities of the Republic of Moldova, who participated, in groups of 15-25 people, in 3 awareness building sessions, organized on 12, 13 and 15 July 2022, by the E-Governance Agency (EGA) in partnership with HelpAge International Moldova.

Upon participation in the training activities, the volunteers will become e-governance ambassadors for around 600 elderly people, from different communities of the country, who will get awareness in the latest electronic tools, applications, platforms and electronic services developed by EGA.

The participants were also informed about the soon-to-be-launched electronic services, which include the MobiSign government authentication and mobile electronic signature service, but learned about other ongoing digital projects as well. The young people were urged by the experts Tatiana Cazacu, Ion Budeci and Ion Stratan to download, test, explore the new MobiSign application, carry out practical exercises, but also watch tutorials and other supporting video materials, designed and adapted for a better awareness of e-governance products so as to subsequently facilitate the digital education of the elderly.

Additionally, during the awareness building session, the beneficiaries used their electronic signatures to log in online and explore all the benefits of the Citizen’s and Entrepreneur’s Government Portal MCabinet, where they learned about data blocks, functionality and opportunities for remote interaction with state institutions. At the same time, they learned to make electronic payments through MPay, create remote powers of attorney through MPower, and sign electronic documents using the new MobiSign mobile application.

Upon finalisation of the electronic training sessions, the volunteers received e-ambassador certificates; thus EGA expands its network of e-government promoters. The abovementioned training events were organized by the E-Governance Agency in partnership with HelpAge International Moldova, within the Program "Digital skills connect generations", financed by UNFPA Moldova, the Moldcell Foundation, Swiss Cooperation in Moldova and the Czech Embassy in Chisinau, the Program being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova in 26 communities.
