MOLDOVAN-ROMANIAN DIALOGUE IN THE FIELD OF E-GOVERNANCE

2022-06-16 16:49

Moldova will offer Romania experience and best practices in developing governmental services and platforms that have proven efficient and are appreciated not only in our country but also abroad. At the same time, the Moldovan-Romanian strategic partnership in the field of digital transformation will ensure the implementation of the state-of-the-art technologies in line with the EU standards and will allow for a wider scaling of solutions developed by specialists from both countries.

This was discussed at the thematic meeting organised by the E-Governance Agency (EGA), which took place on the side-lines of the visit to Chisinau of the Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitalization of Romania, Sebastian Ioan BURDUJA, accompanied by a delegation composed of representatives of the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization, the Authority for Digitalization of Romania and the National Directorate for Cyber Security.

During the discussions, EGA’s work and products were presented, including electronic identity and signature (MSign, MobiSign); data exchange and interoperability; MCabinet platforms and the government notification service MNotify.

The participants in the meeting exchanged views on the prospects for implementing and scaling these solutions in Romania, and examined potential areas for collaboration to develop new solutions within the Moldovan-Romanian partnership strengthened by the establishment of the Joint Committee for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of digital transformation between the Republic of Moldova and Romania, which also took place today, 16 June, 2022.
