2022-05-23 10:01

A delegation of the e-Governance Agency (EGA) attended the "Balti for Digital Transformation" Forum, as speakers, to present the latest e-governance projects implemented by EGA at national and local level.

Localisation of the digital transformation agenda: The concept of the AIS e-LPA and the digitalisation of local services were the issues addressed at the Forum by the EGA Director, Olga Tumuruc. The e-LPA technological solution is an information platform designed for local public authorities to optimize their activity and increase efficiency in the interaction between local authorities and beneficiaries of public services at local level.

"The e-LPA system will facilitate the interaction between central and local public authorities, as well as their interaction with reporting entities, businesses and citizens - a digital tool that will enhance the government's performance at local level and the quality of public services that will benefit citizens and local entrepreneurs. We are open to continue our dialogue with the Balti municipality, with a view to ensure digital transformation through solutions and tools based on advanced technologies", said Olga Tumuruc.

Also, EGA informed the Balti residents for the first time about the electronic identity and electronic signature service MobiSign, which was presented to participants by Artur Reaboi, Project Manager and the main architect of information systems at EGA. The new digital governance product, developed by EGA, will soon be launched and made available to all natural and legal persons who will be able to use this useful digital tool for online interaction both in the country and abroad.

Iurie Turcanu, Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalisation, made a speech supporting the project on digital transformation of the Balti municipality, and congratulated the organizers on the initiative to organize a Digitalisation Forum.

"I extend my appreciation for the efforts of the local authorities in Balti to adopt new development areas to ensure a transparent, modern and efficient governance, in line with the requirements of the technological age and the global digital progress. Together with the governmental team responsible for digitalisation, we will support the Balti Mayor's Office and I, together with my digitalisation team, will facilitate the implementation of regional digital projects so that Balti city becomes a modern digital centre for training specialists in the digital field and for creating opportunities for the development of future technologies in the northern part of the country", said Iurie Turcanu.

The forum is part of the series of events organized on the occasion of the Balti City's Patron Saint Day 2022 and is organized by the Balti Mayor's Office, the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovation Technologies (ACETI), the Balti State University "Alecu Russo", in partnership with the e-Governance Agency and other partners, in order to present the concept of the e-LPA platform, to launch the offer of the local public administration for the IT businesses and the educational offer of the municipality in the light of digital transformation.

Also, the event aimed to launch the public dialogue on the development of the digital project Smart City Balti, and to discuss a series of actions to be taken in the next period.
