MPay Service benefits the Government and the citizens [3]
The registration of a record number of transactions since the launch of the MPay service in 2013 creates prerequisites for the development and expansion of electronic payments in the public sector.
Our colleague Andrei Prisacar, Head of the Department for Smart Investments in Digital Governance, told the Capital Market Newspaper what the expectations were 7 years ago, what the real figure is today, and what new benefits the MPay service brings to the Republic of Moldova.
"The MPay service offered major advantages, first of all giving citizens the freedom and convenience to choose any payment method legally available in the country, without charging additional fees. At the same time, MPay allows public institutions to collect public payments much more efficiently and much faster, through tools for real-time monitoring and traceability of payments”, the Head of the EGA’s Department for Smart Investments in Digital Governance mentioned in the interview.
Andrei Prisacar also spoke about the new legal provisions that allow the creation of an additional platform integrated with MPay to capitalize on the development of citizen-government relations in the future.
The interview is part of the Communication Campaign dedicated to the 10 years of activity of the e-Governance Agency and aims at better familiarizing citizens with the benefits of electronic services created by the e-Governance Agency.
