On 18 August 2020, the e-Governance Agency celebrated 10 years of its activity – one full of extraordinary projects, innovative products with high social impact, a lot of work, challenges and lessons learned, partnerships that, in addition to productivity, efficiency, resilience in our projects, brought us enthusiasm and motivation to innovate further.

On 18 August 2010, given the need to dedicate a professional effort at the level of a unique suprasectoral institution committed to the development and implementation of the Governance e-Transformation Agenda and, subsequently, the Agenda of Modernization of Public Administrative Services, the e-Government Centre, a public institution reporting to the State Chancellery, was established.

On 8 May 2018, as a result of measures aimed at strengthening public data centres and streamlining the administration of information systems by the Government, the name of the Public Institution "e-Government Centre" was changed to the Public Institution "e-Government Agency".

In 10 years of its activity, the institution made many achievements:

• over 100 e-governance products (platform, sectoral, inter-sectoral), open governance and modernization of implemented public services
• over 20 digital innovation initiatives launched and almost completed
• Governance e-Transformation Project (2011-2016) with the financial support of the World Bank Group – successfully implemented and generating substantial socio-economic impact
• Modernization of Government Services in Moldova Project (2018-2023) – launched and under implementation with the support of the World Bank Group high quality and highly resilient e-Governance platform infrastructure with products used so far in tens of millions of transactions (MConnect, MPay, MPass, MLog, Mobile Signature, MCloud, portals servicii.gov.md and date. gov.md and many others) that serves as an enabler of reforms and high impact modernization in any field of activity of our institutional beneficiaries, both in the public sector and in the private and third sectors, the e-Governance products being widely used by any type of entities.
• Over 30 national and international partnerships to promote innovative initiatives for the smart and intensive use of information technologies for the social good
• The Agency was congratulated by the Prime Minister Ion Chicu, the Secretary General of the Government Liliana Iaconi, dozens of public and private institutions and NGOs with which we have had a fruitful co-operation over these years.

Considering the need to digitize services, we have high hopes related to the EGA's activity and we are confident that your plans will be put into practice.", the Prime Minister Ion Chicu mentioned in today's meeting [6] on the monitoring of the "Modernization of Government Services in Moldova" Project, implemented with the support of the World Bank Group.

 "Due to your professionalism and efforts, the e-Governance Agency has proven to be a dynamic and active institution, concerned with modernizing public services by applying innovative technologies and bringing the government closer to the citizens of our country.", Ms. Liliana Iaconi, Secretary General of the Government, stated in her word of congratulation to the Agency employees.
