WOMEN FROM MOLDOVA AND UKRAINE LEARN ABOUT THE AVAILABLE DIGITAL PUBLIC SERVICES

2023-05-15 09:03

Between May 13 and June 3, 2023, the public institution ”e-Governance Agency” (EGA) and the National Association of ICT Companies (ATIC) are delivering a series of seminars on the electronic services available in the Republic of Moldova.

The aim of this action is to support women and girls, refugees from Ukraine, survivors of gender-based violence and those at risk from the rural areas of the Republic of Moldova interested in finding a job, professional development and development of entrepreneurship skills, through training on the governmental digital solutions available in the Republic of Moldova.

The first seminar, which took place on Saturday, May 13, was hosted by Tekwill. The target group were refugee women from Ukraine. EGA’s team of trainers informed the participants about the most important governmental digital services and solutions developed by EGA, in particular:

-          Public Services Portal (servicii.gov.md)

-          Electronic signature (msign.gov.md)

-          Citizen’s and entrepreneur’s virtual cabinet (mcabinet.gov.md)

-          Online service for delegation of powers (mpower.gov.md)

-          Document delivery through MDelivery (mdelivery.gov.md)

-          Governmental service for electronic payments (mpay.gov.md)

Additionally, the participants learned how these digital solutions work and received useful information for the integration of refugee women from Ukraine, including about the governmental platform Dopomoga.gov.md – an important and useful informational resource for settlement in Moldova and about the new employment opportunities provided by the ”Cash for Work” program.

The program is part of the ”Creating economic resilience opportunities for women from local communities and  refugee women from Ukraine” project and is implemented by the National Association of ICT Companies (ATIC) with the support of UN Women and financial support of the Government of Japan.

The target groups of the next seminars will be the women and girls interested in entrepreneurship and professional development from Cahul, Balti and Comrat.

The seminar that EGA will hold in Cahul on the use of digital public services in the daily life will be the first event hosted by the INOTECK Center to be inaugurated in the State University of Cahul on the occasion of Europe Days on May 17, 2023.

These events are part of the digital literacy campaign ”Digital Nation” conducted by EGA between April 12 and June 30, 2023.
