One year after its launch on March 1, 2022 the refugee assistance government platform Dopomoga.gov.md registered over 2, 6 million visits.

The website was launched by the Government of the Republic of Moldova as part of the national campaign “Moldova for Peace” and has become the primary source of information and support for the Ukrainian citizens who have found refuge in Moldova.

More than 500 thousand unique visitors have visited the website looking for information about accommodation, food, healthcare services, transportation, legal and financial assistance, activities for children, employment, the measures taken by Moldovan authorities, civil society, private organizations and individuals to support refugees and other useful reliable and official information.

The most popular website sections according to the visitor statistics are “Get the Personal Identification Number”, “Financial Assistance”, “Housing”, “For Children”, “List of organizations providing non-financial assistance” and others.

The platform soon became a very useful tool for tens of thousands of refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine who have found shelter in our country with the help of Dopomoga website. On average, each individual user accessed the website at least 4 times. More than 80% of users accessed the website on mobile devices, while the rest - on computer desktops.

Most of the visitors accessed dopomoga.gov.md from countries like Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Germany, USA, Great Britain, Holland, Austria and Italy.

Dopomoga.gov.md was developed in record time (5 days) with the support of German Agency for International Cooperation, GIZ Moldova and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and was a joint effort of the e-Government Agency and the team of MAIB volunteers.

The management of the platform was further transferred to Alexandr Macuhin, to whom we express gratitude for full engagement and commitment in the development, improvement and successful management of the website.

Dopomoga is regularly updated depending on the developments in the region, refugees’ needs and decisions of the Commission for Emergency Situations.

The latest data block integrated on the website refers to the pre-registration of refugees seeking temporary protection starting today, March 1, 2023. The Government of the Republic of Moldova provides temporary protection to the displaced persons from Ukraine who cannot go back to their country of origin and want to stay in Moldova.
