The management of electronic documents and governmental digital services were the subject of the presentation made at the online training held on 13 December 2022 by the e-Governance Agency in partnership with the Digital Upgrade Programme.

The Project Manager of the e-Governance Agency, Ion Stratan, made a complex and comprehensive online demonstration regarding the range of electronic services for entrepreneurs provided by the government to businesses as a digital alternative of interaction with public or private institutions, as well as with clients and beneficiaries, using technological solutions, developed by the e-Governance Agency.

The training participants, including the managers and owners of SMEs from Cahul, Cantemir, Taraclia and Leova districts, were familiarized with the ways of managing electronic documents, the legal framework on electronic signature, digital procedures and other e-government services, and were trained how to access and use digital services of electronic signature (MSign), remote authorization (MPower), the Public Services Portal and other governmental platforms, including those for entrepreneurs, such as the Entrepreneur's Government Portal mcabinet.gov.md.

During the training courses, entrepreneurs had the opportunity to develop new skills and improve their digital culture, while learning from EGA experts how to integrate the future technologies into their business activity, streamlining the processes, saving time and resources, increasing the company's capital. In other words, the knowledge gained will allow the training beneficiaries to transform their business, to ensure its alignment to the global digital progress.

The first group of entrepreneurs who benefited from this training module is composed of entrepreneurs working in the field of agriculture and food industry, while the second group, including those working in trade and logistics, will be trained during the next sessions. The training programme will consist of 6 modules, and the main objectives are: to guide and train the representatives of SMEs in the use and application of digital/online tools; to direct SMEs to digitalization, automation and active use of online tools; to encourage and stimulate the demand for innovative digital products and services in the region; to empower the owners and managers of SMEs to initiate digitalization programmes and to attract investments and grants provided for this purpose.

The trainings are part of the Digital Upgrade Programme for entrepreneurs in Cahul region, carried out under the Project "EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul", implemented by ATIC and financed by the European Union in partnership with the Embassy of Sweden.
