The governmental service for authentication and access control (MPass) provides secure access to electronic services. MPass.gov.md integrates all electronic authentication tools, legally available in the Republic of Moldova:
- Mobile Signature;
- Electronic signature on a USB stick;
- Electronic identity card;
- Two-factor authentication.
Using one of the authentication mechanisms, you can access several electronic services in a secure way without having to register in advance with their providers.

The MPass service allows for more secure control of personal data and user permissions, while reducing the related administrative costs. The Governmental Electronic Service for Authentication and Access Control MPass is a reusable service provided at the level of the Governmental common technological platform, which aims to provide an integrative, secure and flexible mechanism for authentication and control of user access in information systems, including electronic services, launched on 23 May 2012.
Government entities integrate their information systems and services with MPass to ensure a Single Sign On. The operation and administration of the governmental electronic service for authentication and access control (MPass) is governed by the Regulation on the governmental electronic service for authentication and access control (MPass), approved by the Government Decision no. 1090 of 31 December 2013.
