The MPay service expands its functionality by distributing e-payments to citizens

The Government e-Payment Service MPay, developed by the Public Institution "Electronic Governance Agency", will ensure the distribution of payments from the national public budget and from the accounts of public institutions to individuals.
In today's meeting, the Government approved the new component of the activity of the MPay Service for distributing payments from the Government to citizens, in addition to the payment collection component available since 2013.
The unified mechanism for distribution of online payments through MPay to individuals refers to the payment of social benefits and other payments made from the budgets that are part of the national public budget, except for salary payments, as well as for the refund of payments from the single treasury account of the Ministry of Finance and from the accounts of self-governed public institutions to citizens. This will allow for cost optimization, transparency of payments, elimination of tax evasion and corruption.
The new regulatory framework provides for the modernization of the service and its widespread use in line with citizens' expectations. The provisions will be implemented starting with 1 January 2021.
Individuals and legal entities can access the page mpay.gov.md and benefit from a wide range of services that can be paid quickly and free of charge.
