An effective e-Governance mechanism requires compliance with all standards and principles of fundamental human rights and freedoms. The statement was made by Gheorghe Ursoi, Deputy Director of the e-Governance Agency (EGA), during the National Scientific and Practical Conference "STATE, SECURITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE DIGITAL ERA", organized by the Law Department of the State University of Moldova, in partnership with the e-Governance Agency, on the occasion of the International Day of Human Rights.

Gheorghe Ursoi mentioned that EGA supports all actions to raise awareness and educate society on respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms and specified that the institution’s objectives include the creation of e-Governance services and platforms and the promotion of digital culture. "The e-Government Agency is involved in two fundamental activities, namely: support state institutions by developing digital services and platforms for the benefit of citizens, while observing fundamental principles of human rights and freedoms, and ensure the modernization of public services based on the expectations and needs of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova ", added the deputy director of EGA.

During the session on Digitization as Promoter of democratic processes in the state-citizen relationship, Vadim Vintila, EGA lawyer, spoke about one of the latest services launched by EGA - Register of representative powers based on e-signature - MPower.

Vadim Vintila presented the regulatory framework underlying this service, its necessity, as well as the functionalities of the platform, which has multiple benefits - compliance with legal rules and procedures, and correctness of the legal relationship between the beneficiaries of the MPower. He also presented how the MPower service is connected to other government platforms: MPass, MSign, MNotify, MLog, MConnect, MCabinet and MCloud.

The National Scientific and Practical Conference "STATE, SECURITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE DIGITAL ERA" is at its fifth edition and is part of the state project "Modernization of governance mechanisms focused on the protection of human rights", which resonates with the EGA mission and its objectives for the future.
